Conservation District Tree Giveaway

Fayette County Conservation District once again distributed over 3000 trees at the annual Farm Bureau Farm Machinery  Consignment Auction at the Horse Park. Fayette Co. Conservation District workers, and Fayette Co. supervisors, and FFA members helped with the distribution. Nine varieties were given out, mostly native to Kentucky which were: White Pine, Persimmon, Bald Cypress, Eastern Redbud, Shumard Oak, Black Walnut, Bur Oak, White Ash, and Yellow Poplar. This is an annual project, and we coincide with the Farm Machinery Sale, because of the attendance of the sale. Although the trees are free, the Horse Park does charge $5.00 for parking.
